Topics of discussion will be the progress on DC’s first two streetcar lines (H Street NE and Anacostia) , and updated plans for future streetcar lines, as well as other future transit investments. Its likely that the information presented an updated version of the results of DDOT’s 2004 DC’s Transit Future Study, which is posted online.
Try to make at least one of the meetings if you can. Streetcars have huge potential to reshape the city, just as Metro did 3 decades ago, so getting feedback from as many residents as possible is important. The Ward 6 and Ward 8 meetings should be especially interesting, as these two wards will host the first two streetcar lines, and will likely be filled with residents with a lot to say.
