Moaz Vegetarian‘s first DC location will be at 1817 M Street NW, between 18th + 19th. The person I spoke to said that they hope to be open by the end of the first week of November. They have 4 locations in NYC, two in Philly, one coming soon to San Francisco, and many overseas (the first opened in Amsterdam in ’91).

“Our famous Maoz sandwich is a home baked pita bread filled with crispy, handmade Falafel ballswhich are made from chickpeas, a vitamin rich legume, packed with plenty of proteins, minerals and vitamin B. The chickpeas are blended daily with fresh spices and vegetables and then fried in zero trans-fat Canola oil. All of our salads and sauces are freshly prepared every day using handpicked ingredients to assure superior quality and freshness.”
