2 in 1: Fixation + Cosmopolitan Chicken Project Openings
Reported by TracyPhotos by Vincent Gallegos
What do you get when you mix chickens, photographers, three bands and Pabst Blue Ribbon? Drunk chickens, photographers, and musicians. Duh!
In case you missed it, last weekend there were two unique exhibit openings in DC. The Cosmopolitan Chicken Project according to the artists website “hopes to develop a super-hybrid chicken.” I’ll leave it at that, go check out the exhibit for yourself. Okay enough about cocks, let’s get to Fixation.
The Pink Line Project and Ten Miles Square hosted this years Fixation at Industry Gallery. The nine talented photographers showcased their view of DC subculture with music provided by Yoko K! ayyoko confidential and Suspicious Package. Yours truly provided portraits in front of the backdrop created by artist Cory Oberndorfer, while party goer’s guzzled PBR laughing at themselves as images were projected throughout the evening. The show runs through Saturday and gallery hours are 12-5pm.
