Talk and Draw with Tim Conlon
The New York Times–Ochs-Sulzberger Family Great Hall of News, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Washington artist Tim Conlon will be on hand for a talk-and-draw demonstration of graffiti styles and techniques and discuss how graffiti has been used as a form of protest. Conlon — whose work has been featured in museums and galleries across the country — will also discuss the artists who risked their lives to paint the Berlin Wall during the Cold War.
Express Yourself
Annenberg Theater Lobby, Level 1, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Exercise your freedom of expression by painting your own message on the Newseum’s re-creation of the Berlin Wall.
Hands-On
Learning Center, Concourse Level, Noon, 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Try your hand at being a graffiti artist and learn techniques from Tim Conlon. Space is limited to 35 visitors per session. Tickets are available at the information desk on a first-come, first-served basis.

During a Berlin Wall Kids Gallery Talk, learn more about the wall and how it changed the lives of children growing up in a divided Berlin.
