ReadysetDC Previews: “ONCE” Laurel Lukaszewski @ Project 4 (Opening Tonight)

Returning from an artist-in-residency program in Tulsa, OK, Laurel Lukaszewski went right to work at Project 4 Gallery. Her solo show opens tonight at 6:30 PM. We met up with Laurel as she prepares for the opening.

The most striking piece in the show is Sakura (2009), conceived and prepared with the Project 4′s space in mind. Different from her previous works, Laurel put together over 3,000 porcelain cherry blossoms over the course of 2009, and she’s ready to share them today—enjoy!
