For YOUR Love of DC!
Reported by JustinThank you everyone who came out on Thursday and made FOR THE LOVE OF DC an overwhelming success! We did not expect SO MANY (creative and beautiful) people! So many memories were made for us, hopefully for you too. It is our goal to show you more reasons to love DC, so we plan on working on many more events in the coming months.
In case you weren’t there here’s a rundown:
“No Kings” Collective provided the beautiful artwork. Our photo contributors showcased their stunning work. Bullfight Academy started the night off right with an energetic performance. Then the Fojol Bros pulled up outside and provided food for our guests! “Suprise Guest Bands” Laughing Man and Tennis System rocked out. DJ Tittsworth had the crowd dancing ’til the end of the night. And it seemed like all of DC’s creative community was there!
Look out for FOR THE LOVE OF DC TWO in 2010 for our 1 year anniversary. Same rules: no cover and open bar, you just have to love DC.
Now for the photos. Below is from our Photo Editor Tracy Clayton:
Now some from our photo contributor Lillian Cho:
Apt3 Photography was there! Check out their shots:
Again THANK YOU EVERYONE!

What’s the story with the photo that includes the “Alexa Meade” sign. It looks like a homeless guy being used as a prop. I certainly hope that is not the case.

@Jason – Alexa Meade is a conceptual installation artist…check her work at: http://alexameade.com/ the gentlemen is not homeless I can assure you, but one of her many subjects.
