Our fashion:district interview series has officially come to an end. Mark your calendars for fashion:district | The Show.
On the evening of April 7th, 2010 ReadysetDC will activate View 14, the modern luxury apartment building at 2303 14th Street NW. The evening will feature a full length fashion show including the local designers/boutique owners; Treasury, Durkl, Redeem, Commonwealthand the debut of DC-based men’s accessories line Derringer Friday. The runway show will be styled by DC fashion bloggers and members of the fashion community including; Project Beltway‘s Rachel Cothran, the founder of The President Wears Prada, Worn Magazine‘s Nicole Aguirre and the gentlemen of Derringer Friday.
The event will be a multi-layered presentation; mixing all elements of fashion and art in this city. It will attempt to celebrate accessible fashion and the unique fashion community here in DC. In addition to the show itself, the evening will feature pop-up shops from the involved boutiques and a preview of the soon-to-be released Worn Magazine. There will also be a fashion photography exhibit from DC based photographers Joshua Yospyn, Nicole Aguirre and Jodi King.
fashion:district | The Show. will also feature installation works by mixed media and Hamiltonian artist, Bryan Rojsuontikul, including the actual fashion show runway.
We hope to see you out as we celebrate the fashion community here in DC high on the rooftop of View 14.
