The chronicles of The President Wears Prada is Carla’s take on fashion in the city.  Her blog is refreshing and a great testament that DC is becoming more fashion forward. If you’re discovering style in the city, check out Carla’s updates for the latest in fashion, street style and DC.

AT: How did you come up with the name for your blog?

Carla: I started TPWP as a creative outlet to my otherwise intensely analytical day. A good friend helped me come up with the name, we wanted to consolidate the idea of fashion with a name that readers would relate with DC.

AT: Can you describe DC’s style during the time that TPWP launched? Who provides the concepts behind the photography on TPWP?

Carla: DC’s style was at the time (and is still is) undergoing this very exciting blossoming period with the influx of creative people who now live here and the urban kids who are not afraid to take chances – hopefully the rest of the less fashionable majority is starting to be positively influenced by the outnumbered few. The concepts for the photography develop organically around an item of clothing, a building or any other inspiring object and are usually edited and styled by the TPWP photographer. (more…)
